Check in 

The address to the property is 8181 Lakeshore Drive, Lexington, Michigan 48450. You’ll see the Fox Park sign above from the road. Turn down the driveway, you may park in front of the house behind the garage and basketball court. 

The code to open the front door is XXXXXXX.

Check out

Please make sure all dirty towels are placed in the hampers provided in the bedrooms or in the basket in the laundry room. 

Please load the dishwasher and place garbage in the bins next to the pumphouse.  

There is no recycling available in this area of Michigan.  However, please either take your returnables with you or leave them in a plastic bag in the pumphouse for us to take care of.  If you have clean cardboard or paper you can also leave those in the pumphouse.  But, please dispose of everything else.  

Please do not leave opened food or beverages in the refrigerator or cupboards when you leave. 

Rules

No loud parties, please be considerate of our neighbors. Try to maintain quiet hours between 11 pm and 8 am. 

No RVs or campers allowed on the property. 

No smoking in the house or on the deck.  There is a smoking area behind the pump house.

No pets allowed.

Only use the duralogs in the fireplace. The wood outside can be used in the firepit down by the lake. 

This is our family vacation home and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do and we hope you take care of it as though it was your own. 

Emergency Contact:

We do have security cameras outside of the home. 

There is a generator in case of a power outage.

Kitchen basics 

Full kitchen, fully stocked.  Look around, open drawers and cabinets we should have just about everything you might need.  You will notice that all off the drinkware in the kitchen is plastic, that way you can take it outside with you.  However, if you would prefer a to use glass they are available in the bar next to the fireplace. Please do not bring the glassware outside.

There is coffee and tea and there are coffee cups in the cupboard above the coffee pot.  The pot has a reusable filter, please rinse it out after each use. 

Any coffee, tea, condiments or unopened non-perishable food left in the cupboards or refrigerator is available for you to use.

The dining room table can expand, the leaves are in the downstairs hallway closet.


Fun

There are beach chairs, lawn games and basketballs for your use in the pump house.  Kayaks and a paddle board are stored under the deck. Please return them when you are done so they don’t float away overnight. 

Beach towels are provided, please keep the bathroom towels inside.

Games, cards and Puzzles are stored in the coffee table.  There are books in the upstairs hallway bookcase.

Smart TVs, and a Bluetooth speaker that looks like an antique radio.

Extras 

Extra folding chairs and tables are available in the basement next to the refrigerator.

Extra toilet paper and paper towel is in the front hall closet.

Extra pillows and bedding in the linen closet upstairs.

Lexington

Lexington is a small lakeside town with a variety of restaurants, galleries and shops.  There is a full service grocery store and pharmacy so you don’t have to go down to Port Huron if you don’t want to.

3 North.  The winery is on Huron Avenue west of town toward Crosswell.

There are bigbox stores, a small mall, movie theatres, etc in Port Huron in case of a rainy day. 

Other things to do 

Crosswell – the Swinging Bridge

Port Huron – Blue Water bridge and Thomas Edison Depot Museum

Drive up the coast through a few lakeshore towns to Port Austin – at the tip of the “Thumb” there is kayaking available to see Turnip Rock and you can tour the Point Aux Barques lighthouse.
